drumstick

Plastic chicken drumstick

Plastic was ingested in ever increasing amounts during the age of oil. People immortalised their favourite foods in plastic. It has been theorised that the people could have been of the belief that they could evolve to survive on plastic foods and would themselves become immortalised in plastic form.

(found at Cobh, Ireland, and contributed to the Museum by Charlotte Leeder)
