Artificial flowers

Flowers began to be manufactured out of plastic and nylon as flowering plants began to decline due to a changing climate and the demise of pollinating insects prior to the European Bee Act in 2076. Re-planting of sandy coastal areas with artificial vegetation following storm events was particularly prevalent in the mid 21c in an attempt to stabilise these fragile environments, particularly in the vicinity of the Sizewell nuclear island.
