Wildlife trap

Wave action and ocean currents caused waste plastics (especially plastic bags, balloons, rope and fishing line) in the ocean to become very entangled, forming 'natural' wildlife traps. Often washing up on the shoreline, these 'traps' were used by early post Oil Age people to ensnare wildlife for food both in the oceans and later, as seafood stocks diminished, in forests.
