Art in a box

I have long been fascinated by the idea of a mobile gallery - bringing art to unexpected places. So when I saw a vintage horsebox, lovingly brought back to life by its previous owner, Jon Everett, but in need of a home, I just couldn't resist... It made a fantastic roaming gallery for the Museum of Beyond.

The roaming museum has enjoyed many great outings - from its first trips in 2016 to Southwold harbour and pier, to some lovely weekends at FolkEast, the Ufford Arts Festival and at Siren Festival in Aldeburgh. It's been great meeting everyone at the museum - and I want to give a special thank you for all the objects you contributed to the Museum!

Put under wraps during the covid pandemic, my horsebox is sadly now in need of some major restoration so won't be doing any outings in the near future. But luckily I have found a great new space for the museum for the summer of 2024 - read more here.
